Let me start by saying I am a huge fan of Jeremy Clarkson, having read every one of his articles in the late 70’s and early 80’s in (I think it was called) Supercar magazine.

In 2008 Jeremy Clarkson bought about a thousand acres (4 km2) in 2008 including Curdle Hill Farm Formerly part of the Sarsden estate in Oxfordshire. The fields were mostly arable, growing a rotation of barley, rapeseed and wheat.

These were farmed on a contract basis by a local villager called Howard who retired in 2019. Clarkson then decided to try farming the land himself. How hard can it be?

The farm was renamed “Diddly Squat” by Clarkson to indicate its lack of productivity

In 2020 Clarkson and Lisa Hogan, opened the Diddly Squat Farm Shop in a small barn full of good, no-nonsense things produced either on Diddly Squat Farm or by their farming neighbours in the Cotswolds.

As well as a range of seasonal fruit and veg, plus a few deli items they claim to have literally the best hamburgers in the world. And a full bar including cool draft beers, lagers, ciders, and of course rosé. Table seating is available outside where you can take in the amazing views.

There’s a fresh milk vending machine outside the shop.

The Online Shop offers worldwide delivery of Diddly Squat Farm Shop gifts and clothing and the couple are hoping to open a restaurant in the near future.
